個人的に興味のある映画のニュースについてダラダラ書いてみる。
「聖少女バフィー」で知られるジョス・ウィードンの映画「SERENITY」のトレーラーが公開されていた。面白いのかな？短命に終わったTVシリーズ「FIREFLY」の映画版だけど、TVシリーズの製作がフォックスで劇場版がユニバーサルというのがちょっと興味深い。版権をウィードンが持っていてユニバーサルに持ち込んだんだろうか。
トレーラーといえば「バットマン・ビギンス」の新トレーラーも公開されていた。メインの敵キャラとなるスケアクロウの姿も一瞬見れる。なぜラーズ・アル・グールを渡辺謙が演じるのかはよく分かりませんが。モーガン・フリーマン演じるルシアス・フォックスはバットマンの正体を知っているという設定なのだろうか。それにしてもフリーマンをはじめ、マイケル・ケインやリーアム・ニーソン、ゲイリー・オールドマンといった濃い役者が勢揃いの映画だなあ。
アメコミ映画といえば、マーヴェルとパラマウントが大規模な提携を結んだとか。どうもマーヴェルが自腹を切って自社のキャラクターを映画化し、それをパラマウントが配給してマージンをとる仕組みらしい。ルーカスフィルムとフォックスみたいな関係ですね。コミックスを出してる会社が自分たちで映画を作ることは歓迎すべきことなのだろうけど、早くても第１弾が公開されるのは２年後ということで、それまでにアメコミ映画のブームが過ぎてるのではないかと不安になってしまう。
ルーカスフィルムといえば、「エピソード３」公開後の動静についていろんな噂が出回っているようだ。どうも「スター・ウォーズ」の世界をベースにしたTVシリーズが２つ作られるとか（クリスマス・スペシャルの再来か？）。旧来のファンの間ではルーカスの評判が悪くなるばかりだけど、彼って世界最大のインディペンデント映画製作者であり、自分の好きなように映画を作ってそれをヒットさせ、その利益でまた好きなように映画をつくる、というスタンスは賞賛に値するものがあると思う。だからってダメ映画を作っていいということにはならないけど。
