DCコミックスの今年（来年？）の大イベントである「INFINITE CRISIS」の予告編的作品「COUNTDOWN TO INFINITE CRISIS」が発売されていたので早速購入。80ページで１ドルという、赤字覚悟の大安値だった。この話から４つのミニシリーズが同時期に始まり、それぞれが６号まで出版され、そこからやっと「INFINITE CRISIS」が始まるという、なんとも壮大というか気の長いコンセプトになってるらしい。
それで肝心の内容はというと、これはちょっと…といった感じだった。比較的マイナーなヒーローである「ブルー・ビートル」がストーリーの語り手だというのは個人的には嬉しいのだけど、最後に明らかにされる黒幕は何かショボいし、とても気の滅入る終わり方もどうかと。あくまでも予告編ということで、数多くの謎をばらまき読者を欲求不満にさせるのが目的なのは分かるけど、個人的にはこれから先の話の展開への興味がそがれるような内容であったのが残念。
それでもDCコミックス史上で最大のイベントであった「CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS」の続編と宣伝されてる「COUNTDOWN TO INFINITE CRISIS」がどんな話になるのかは興味津々なんだけどね。
