パソコンの中の世界を舞台にした、カナダ製の大傑作CGアニメ「REBOOT」がDVDムービーとなってリメイクされるそうな。リメイクの度合いがどんなものになるか分からないけど、そもそも前回のシリーズって話が未完のまま終わってたんじゃなかったっけ…？
製作会社はレインメーカー・エンターテイメントというところで、何故メインフレーム社ではないのかと思ったらメインフレームはここに買収されたみたい。脚本にはファンが参加できる仕組みになるみたいだけど、とりあえずブレンダン・マッカーシー大先生には引き続きキャラクターデザインを担当して欲しいところです。
ちなみに「REBOOT」って日本では10年くらい前に３日間だけ深夜に放送されてたんだよね（しかも吹替版）。あれを観て俺はすぐファンになったんだけど、さすがにあの時間帯では反響が少なかったらしく、その後の放映がなかったのが残念。当時にしてはCGの出来が素晴らしいし、笑える小ネタが満載の素晴らしい番組だったのに。
