「BLACK DOSSIER」読書メモ　その４

なんか夏に「The Black Dossier」のAbsolute Edition版が発売されるんだって？既に本としては完璧な装丁がされている作品なのに、これに何を足すってんだろう。スケッチとかスクリプトとかかな。値段がバカ高くなってそうだから買う気はないけど。

・逃避行を続けるなか、バーミンガムの宇宙港へ足をのばすミナとクォーターメイン。見学なんかしてる暇はあるのかね。
・一方ではボンドやエマ・ピールたちも、ミナたちが出会った”M”の元同級生からのタレ込みにより彼女たちの居所を知り、宇宙港へと向かう。
・宇宙港では数々のロケットや宇宙生物が登場します。ここは「ダン・デア」およびゲイリー・アンダーソンの初期の作品からの引用が多いみたい。
・ボンドたちと遭遇したミナとクォーターメインは格闘に巻き込まれるものの、宇宙船XL-5号（の１つ前のモデル）に乗り込んで宇宙港を脱出。
・ひと安心した彼女たちは逃避行の行き先であるスコットランドにロケットを向け、「黒本」の読書にとりかかります。
・ミナの第二次「リーグ」に関する政府のレポート。第二次大戦の戦火が激しくなるなか、「リーグ」がイギリス政府との接触を絶って消息不明になったことが書かれている。
・その後に設立された代理「リーグ」に関する説明。このときのメンバーはジョーン・ウォーラルソン、ウィリアム・サムソン・ジュニア、透明人間などなど…。誰も知らんなあ。この「リーグ」は最初の冒険が失敗に終わり、その後すぐに解散したことが述べられる。
