恋人探しをする身体障害者たちを題材にした「The Undateables」など、やたらエッジの効いたリアリティ番組で知られる英チャンネル４の新番組。
『現代ではみんなデートアプリを使って恋人を探し、ファッションとか髪型に気を使ってるけど、重要なのは結局のところお互いの肉体に興味を感じるかでしょ？ならば最初から裸を見ればいいじゃん！』とかいうコンセプトのもと、恋人募集中の男性もしくは女性の前に、すっぽんぽんの6人の候補者が登場し、ほぼ肉体的興味だけで候補が絞られていくという身も蓋もない構成になっている。イギリスのテレビ局（民放のみ？）は深夜帯なら性器を見せても良いことになってるらしく、あれもこれも見せられて凄いことになっております。
第一回目の前半では恋人を探している女性が登場し、その前にはケースで隠された6人の全裸の男たちが。そして司会者の「それでは下半身を見てみましょう」という掛け声とともにケースの下半分が開き、みんなのチンコが見えることに。そして女性は各候補者の体を吟味し、「あれは大きすぎるわね」とか「割礼してるのもありね」とか「ゾウさんの入れ墨（！）してる人がいますね」とか気ままなコメントをしていく。なお様々な人種の候補者がいるだけでなく、義足の人がいたのはチャンネル４っぽいところですね。
そして下半身の段階でまず１名の候補者が脱落し、次はさらにケースが上がって首から下が丸見えに。「腹筋ボディもいいけど、ぽっちゃりお腹もいいわね〜」と女性が気ままに候補を選んでいて、ここらへん男性の視聴者としては身悶えしながら観ておりましたよ。さらにここで１名が脱落し、次でやっと候補者の顔が明かされることに。それでも候補者は声を出すことができず、純粋に見た目だけでまた１名が脱落することに、それから候補者は少しだけ女性と話すことができ、そのときの印象でさらに１名が候補から外れることになる。
そして残った二人のうちから一人を選ぶわけだが、「これはお互いの肉体的相性を見ないといけないですよね」ということで今度は女性のほうが全裸になって登場！下の画像ではモザイクかかってるけど実際はかかってなくて、なんかすごい光景になってましたよ。
こうして一人の男性が最終的に選ばれ、やっと服を着て女性とデートに行くことに。番組ではその１ヶ月後の二人についても紹介され、いい感じで付き合っているみたい。脱落した候補者はいわゆる「脱ぎ損」ではないかと思うのだけど、「番組で裸になることで自分の体に自信が持てた」と皆が口を揃えてコメントしており、そういうものなのかなあと。なおモデル並みのボディをしてるような候補者はあまりいなくて、緩んだ体型の人も結構いたりします。
さらに番組の後半ではバイセクシャルの女性が恋人探しに登場し、彼女の前には全裸の男性3人と女性3人が出てくるという、なんでもありの展開になってました。これ最初から男性が女性を物色する内容にしてたら相当叩かれていただろうけど、恋人探しをするのが女性だったことでそこらへんは「政治的に正しく」なった感じですかね。それでも本国では賛否両論の意見が巻き起こってるらしいが、視聴率はかなり稼いだようなのので今後も話数を重ねていくことになるかもしれない。
悪趣味といえば悪趣味な番組ではあるのだけど、日本では絶対に放送できないということもあり、なかなか刺激的な番組でございました。
