公開したばかりなので簡単な感想を。
・ウェス・アンダーソンの人形アニメとしては前にも「ファンタスティック Mr.FOX」があるのだが、失踪した子供を探すドタバタ、という点ではむしろ「ムーンライズ・キングダム」に近い内容であった。ただし話が進むにつれて犬と人間の共存が大きなテーマになってくるので、観ていて連想したのはリブート版「猿の惑星」シリーズであったよ。
・内容はまあ典型的なアンダーソン風というか、お馴染みの役者たちが今回は声優として登場していて、シュールな展開が繰り広げられるというか。ほぼ主役の犬の声をあてたブライアン・クランストンがアンダーソン作品は初参加かな？
・アニメと実写を比べるのも何だが、前作「グランド・ブダペスト・ホテル」の濃厚なストーリーテリングに比べるとクオリティは落ちる。話の展開もベタだなと思うものの、アニメならではのアクション多めの冒険譚にもなっていて、話が盛り上がるところは盛り上がるし、観ていて飽きない内容ではありましたよ。
・欧米では日本人の描き方がステレオタイプではないか、というような批判もあったみたいだけど、架空の都市の話ということもあり、観ていてそんなに気にはならなかった。少なくとも悪気はないわけだし。活躍するのがアメリカ人の交換留学生、というのが少しご都合主義だったかな？
・劇中の日本語もまあ容認できたけど、主人公の少年の声をはもうちょっと感情を込められる役者を使ったほうが良かったろう。かなり棒読みのように感じられたので。
・犬だけでなく猫をもっと見たかったなあ。
・これを言うと白い目で見られるのだが、おれ犬が大嫌いでして、もう一度言うけど大嫌いでして、街の犬を捕獲して隔離する施策はそんなに悪いものではないと思うのだ。おれならあの市長に投票するね！
