「FABLES」TVシリーズ化？

DCコミックスの大人向けレーベルであるヴァーティゴの人気作品「FABLES」が米ABCでTVシリーズのパイロット版が作られるんだとか。これは予想してなかったな。

この「FABLES」というのは、おとぎの国を追い出された白雪姫や赤ずきんやシンデレラといったキャラクターたちが、人間界に住みながら彼らを追い出した敵との脅威と戦っていくというようなストーリーのコミック。ヴァーティゴの作品だから派手な戦闘シーンみたいなものはなくて、ファンタジーに重点を置いた内容になっている。前にちょっと読んでみたけど、日本人には馴染みのない童話のキャラクターが多く出てくるんであまり面白いとは思わなかったかな。でもスーパーヒーローものだけでなく、このようなヴァーティゴの作品が映像化されるのは歓迎すべきことかと。こないだの「プリーチャー」だけでなく「Y: THE LAST MAN」とかの映画化の話も少しは進展するのかな。
