アラン・ムーアの大傑作コミック「V FOR VENDETTA」にナタリー・ポートマンの出演が決定したとか。ポスターらしきものも出来ているのを見ると、ずいぶん製作は進んでいるということか。
監督は新人ということでよく知らないが、製作はワショウスキー兄弟。「マトリックス」以前から映画化を計画しているという話を聞いていたので意外ではないけど、「コミックでしか表現できないストーリーテリング」を信条とするアラン・ムーアの作品が、こうも次々と映画化されるというのはちょっと皮肉めいている。
でも全体主義政府に対抗するテロリストが主人公である「V」は、現在のアメリカの政治状況下できちんと映画化できるのだろうか。「リーグ・オブ・レジェンド」も「フロム・ヘル」も原作とは全く異なった映画になってたからなあ（それなりに面白かったけど）。
