ゴールデン・グローブ賞の授賞式を、カレーを食べながらダラダラと観る。５年くらい前に今は亡きディレクTVが生放送したのを手伝ったことがあるので、生放送で観るのはこれで２回目ということになる。テレビと映画の両方をカバーしてるし、アカデミー賞ほど堅苦しくない（ハクがないだけだが）ので個人的にはアカデミー賞よりも好きなアワードなんだが、今年は例年になく「最有力候補」的な作品がなかったので、全体的にちょっと散漫な感じがしたと思う。とりあえず所見を：
「CLOSER」の２人が手堅く助演賞をとったあと、TVシリーズの助演男優賞は何とウィリアム・シャトナーに。式が始まったばかりなのに、もう顔が赤らんでるのは酒なのか健康状態なのか。やたら恰幅のよくなった姿は「Boston Legal」の役には向いてるんだけど、かつてのカーク船長の面影は消えてしまった。
TVシリーズドラマ部門の主演女優賞は「L&O: SVU」のマリスカ・ハージテイ。意外といえば意外だけど、俺の好きなシリーズなのでうれしい。スピーチも感動的だったし。母親（ジェーン・マンスフィールド）のこともちょっと言及してた。
TVシリーズコメディ部門の主演男優賞は「Arrested Development」のジェイソン・ベイトマンに。これも少し意外だけど、最高に面白い番組だから許す。ちなみに授賞式の裏番組だったというのが何とも皮肉。スピーチ長過ぎ。
最優秀TVコメディの作品賞と主演女優賞は「Desperate Housewives」に。よく出来たシリーズだし、いいんじゃないでしょうか。テリ・ハッチャーがまた人気者になるとは想像もつかなかった。
映画部門の方は観てない映画ばかりなので大きなことは言えないけど、前評判の高かった「Sideways」「Million Dollar Baby」「 Aviator」がうまく賞を分けたな、という感じ。個人的には「MR．インクレディブル」とか「エターナル・サンシャイン」に何か受賞してほしかった。
ちなみに功労賞はロビン・ウィリアムスに。好きな役者じゃないけど、幅広い演技が出来るのは認めよう。「昔ここで新人賞をもらって嬉しかったけど、その２年後にはピア・ザドラが受賞してた」というジョークには笑った。
式の合間に流されるノミネート作品のクリップを観てると、その多様性と演技の立派さ（特にTVムービー）に驚かされる。アイドル映画に賞をあげて自己満足してるような日本アカデミー賞とは格が違うのだよ。
