朝っぱらから湖畔で雪に足をとられて転倒し、背中にかついでたPowerBookが少しヘコむ。動作に異常はないのだが、もうパソコンを持って外に出るのはやめよう。

アカデミー賞のノミネート発表を生放送で見る。主要な賞だけを発表するので、案外と簡素な感じだった。既に多くのメディアが報じているが、今年はこれといった目玉作がないぶん、中堅どころの作品がひしめいていて面白いといえば面白い。マイク・リーとか「Maria Full Of Grace」の主演の人とかなんて、普通の年だったらノミネートされないよな。個人的には「Mr.インクレディブル」のブラッド・バードが脚本でノミネートされたのが嬉しい。

午後はオスカー候補の１つである「Million Dollar Baby」を観に行く。イーストウッドはすごく才能のある人だと思うけれど、これはちょっと、という感じだった。

夜になってからはマンガ教室へ。ここしばらく忙しかったので、宿題になっていた絵をきちんと仕上げることが出来なかったが、まあ次から頑張ろう。リッチ・バックラーとロブ・リーフィールドがいかに他人のスタイルをパクっているか、という話で（一部の人が）盛り上がる。アメコミがバカにされず、きちんとアートとして語りあえるなんて、なんていいクラスなんだ。
