FXの新シリーズで、同名映画作品（邦題「シェアハウス・ウィズ・ヴァンパイア」）のTVシリーズ版。
劇場版の監督だったタイカ・ワイティティとジェマイン・クレメントが深く関わっており、基本的な話の内容は変わっておらず、１つの屋敷のなかに共同で暮らす吸血鬼たちの愉快な日常を追ったモキュメンタリー作品となっている。ただし劇場版は舞台がニュージーランドだったのに対してこちらはニューヨークのスタテン島が舞台になっており、登場人物もすべて異なっていた。
屋敷に住むのはリーダー格の吸血鬼のナンドー、その仲間のラズロ、その恋人のナジャ、彼らの召使で人間のギレルモ、およびエネルギー・ヴァンパイアのコリン・ロビンソン。あと長旅をかけてやってきたバロンという古参の吸血鬼が棺桶のなかで長寝をしているという設定になっています。
個人的には劇場版はモキュメンタリーのブームの末期に公開された（と思っている）こともあり、そんなに評価はしていないのだけど、今度のTV版はエネルギー・ヴァンパイアという新しい吸血鬼がいるのがポイントかも。彼らは日中でも活動できるタイプの吸血鬼であり、他人のやる気を精神的に吸い取ってしまうという能力を持つため、普段は人間に紛れてオフィスワークを行い、同僚に迷惑をかけてやる気を吸い取っているのだ。しかもこの能力は吸血鬼にも効くらしく、彼が部屋に来るだけで他の吸血鬼は気力が萎えるという設定になっている。ｋおのコリン・ロビンソン、うまく扱えば結構面白いキャラになるかも。
あと劇場版ではオオカミ男とか魔女といった他の種類のモンスターが登場してましたが、予告編を見る限りではこちらでも登場するみたい。あと空中浮遊や壁をよじ登るといった特殊効果は、TVシリーズにしてはよく撮れていました。
ナンドーとラズロとナジャの３人の吸血鬼はみんなイギリスの俳優が演じている。なかでもラズロは「IT CROWD」「SNUFF BOX」などで知られるマット・ベリーが演じており、これがアメリカで彼がブレークするきっかけになるかも？あとはバロンの中の人をダグ・ジョーンズが演じていたりします。
全体的には劇場版の雰囲気によく似ているので、あれが好きだった人は楽しめるでしょう。 シュールな内容もFXのコメディ番組としてはよく似合ってるのでは。
