こないだ書いた「NXNE」の一環である、ニューヨーク・ドールズのライブを観に行く。 もうかれこれ30年以上前に結成されたバンドなので、生存してるオリジナル・メンバーが２人しかいないとか、年のせいかデビッド・ヨハンセンが歌詞カード読んでるとかといった点もあるものの、そんな些細なことがまるで気にならないくらいに活力にあふれたライブだった。「TRASH」や「FRANKENSTEIN」といった曲のほかにもジャニス・ジョプリンの「PIECE OF MY HEART」などを演奏しながら、ラストは「PERSONALITY CRISIS」で締め。おまけにベースが元ハノイ・ロックスのサム・ヤッファときては喜ばずにいられまい。写真がピンぼけで失礼。
