それから２時間もせずにナイアガラへ到着。観光以外に何ら取り柄のない町とはいえ、熱海の秘宝館のごとき悪趣味なアトラクションが立ち並ぶその光景に圧倒される。コニー・アイランドとかに比べれば非常に活気のある所なんだけど、ものすごく似てないアンジェリーナ・ジョリーのロウ人形とかが店先に飾られてるのを見ると、あんなので喜ぶ人がいるのかって本気で考えてしまう。「凶悪犯罪者のロウ人形の館」なんて、誰がカネ払ってまで見に行くんだろう。
とりあえずそんなアトラクションは無視してナイアガラの滝へ。谷底へ２つの滝が流れ込む光景はさすがに壮大。付近を歩いてるだけでも水しぶきがとんでくるほど。遊覧船にも乗り込んで滝のふもと付近までいったら、水しぶきがすごくて、事前に配られたレインコートを着ててもずぶ濡れになる。暑い日に行ってよかった。
それから後はバスの時間まで町をブラブラする。しかしろくな説明もなくバスが１本キャンセルされ、おかげで２時間も待つことに。しかもやっと来たバスでは待ってる人全員を乗せられないため、誰が先に乗るかで中国語と英語が入り交じる大騒ぎに。とにかく最低のバス会社だった。 バスを待ってる際にカジノで小勝ちしたのはよかったんだけどね。
